Remarkable ending in Columbia crash

Only one fatality took place in a San Andres, Columbia crash that took place on Monday. The plane crashed while attempting to land. The reason for the wreck for certain yet, but is thought to be due to a lightning strike. The plane split into pieces, but didn’t hit any buildings, and only one fatality occurred, though not during the crash itself. The avoidance of loss of life within the crash and the wreckage being confined to the concourse has been attributed to the skill of the pilot.

AIRES Boeing 737 halved on runway

The flight to San Andres from Bogota was a red eye flight. As AIRES Flight 8250 approached the runway in bad weather, the plane began to shake. As the plane descended, the pilot began an emergency landing just short of the runway when it began to fragment on landing. Initially, according to CNN, the crash was thought to be caused by a downdraft, though eyewitnesses saw a bolt of lightning strike the plane. The pilot also saw a bolt of lightning hit the plane. As the plane landed at Gustavo Rojas Pinillo airport, it broke in two. The wreckage besides the plane was minimal.

Only a single fatality

After the crash, as outlined by Bloomberg, a 65 year old passenger had a heart attack and died. There were six individuals who had no injuries whatsoever. The rest of passengers and crew had injuries, but no one is not expected to make a full recovery. The plane was carrying at least 127 passengers and crew members.

Pilot made all the main difference

Professional pilots are some of one of the most highly skilled workers in existence. These people are trained to not only steer very complicated machines in very precise trajectories over thousands of miles but additionally to know how to handle one in case things go wrong. The job affords little wiggle room and there is tremendous pressure involved in the job. Flight attendants are as well, if the overnight sensation Steven Slater is any kind of indicator of the pressures involved in the air travel trade. The pilot of AIRES Flight 8250 is a hero.
